As good as MacBook Air is technologically... it fails in certain fundamental aspects of a portable device.
#1 No optical drive...so u basically cant load CD/DVDs if u dont have access to a disc drive #2 No firewire..so forget abt directly transferring data from a video device #3 No ethernet... some people may not have Wi-Fi you know. #4 User cant change the battery. #5 The price..$1799.. WTF!!
So even though am a mac evangelist..i have to admit.. this product is a hard to sell item.
@sharath : I agree all the 5 points but you are missing one greatest good thing.........Its sleek .......i mean a new definition for sleek!!! common you can just put this device into a post envelope! one morething is It has DVI port for video transfer! Almost all people nowadays have wifi! In india have you heard of the new tata indicom wimax internet!
hey the mac air is not something for a mass sel... its a niche item.... and about the cd drive.... it can sync to other pcs using wi fi so if u are in the vicinity of a desktop no problemo.. think of it as a niche item used by someone on the move or as a style statement for the uber-cool rich businessman
